Abstract:

An object-oriented knowledge acquisition (KA) tool SOOKAT is outlined. Also formation of its models is described.

Text analyses, used semi-automatically for forming a partial formal grammar, can be used to facilitate forming a domain model, e.g. that of SOOKAT. This is especially useful in case of a corpus dealing with an unfamiliar domain.

When viewing SOOKAT from the ontological point of view, it is discovered that its models are different kinds of ontologies, the formation of which can be described.

Terminological management of acquired knowledge can be facilitated by using a graphical KA tool.
