Dear colleagues, the site CEUR-WS.org publishes proceedings of scientific workshops since 1995. Some of you may already have used the service or downloaded papers from the site. We offer the service for free and maintain it in our spare time using the generous support by the people running the SunSITE at RWTH Aachen. For the future, we are considering to provide a long-term archiving with a national library. This would require us to excerpt some meta data from the index file of a published volume and translate it into a metadata format used by libraries. A zipped archive of the volume plus the metadata would then have to be uploaded via ftp. All metadata is already in the index file using our own HTML/CSS tags. The translation to the library standard should be doable within a couple of days. By this mail we ask for an enthusiastic colleague who would be willing to implement the necessary scripts and to donate the code to us (resp. the community) under a suitable license, e.g. Gnu GPL or FreeBSD-style. I would just be great if some of you would like to join our efforts and help CEUR-WS to get better and more useful for the community. The target metadata standard should be ONIX. The character encoding must be UTF8. More details on the mapping are made available when you contact us. Minimal knowledge of German is useful but not required. Kind greetings, Manfred Jeusfeld and Ruzica Piskac January 15, 2013
